We will see a New Depth of Hunger for the Word and Power of God! Keith L. Miller
I would like to share two very powerful visions that I’ve had from the Lord.
One vision was of a room that held several hundred people. I’m not sure how big the room was, but in the vision there were so very many people in the room. There was so much anticipation and hunger. People were sitting in chairs, standing in the room, and sitting on the floor. There were even more people looking in at the doorways, and there were still more people in the hallway, just wanting to listen. The Lord showed me that’s the hunger that is being created by the Holy Spirit for the word, a deeper knowing of the word, the breaking of the bread. We see the breaking of the bread in Luke 24:30-31, when Jesus ministered and broke bread with the disciples and opened their ability for deeper understanding of the scriptures (see Luke 24:45).
I believe that we will see the kind of revelation realm and fresh flow that is mentioned in Ephesians 1:17, the Spirit of wisdom, revelation, and the knowledge of the Lord, and in 2 Peter 1:2, where it says, “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.” A tremendous, deep revelation realm of the word comes with this. The Lord is stirring up the hearts of many to know Him in a greater capacity through His word. Remember, the presence and the power of God are wrapped in the word. The word is alive and living.
In the second vision, I saw a greater demonstration of the power of God. I saw the vision in a dream with instructions on how to pray. In the dream, I was in a cathedral, a beautiful, magnificent facility. It was packed with people, several of whom I knew. Worship was playing, and someone was orchestrating the meeting, when, all of a sudden, the Lord told me to pray. Three quarters of the way through the prayer, the presence of God came so powerfully that the whole facility, this huge cathedral, was filled with the glory and power of God. It was amazing! The people were being ministered to, the ones needing to be free were set free, and the ones needing physical healing were healed.
Moses saw the acts of God. We know that’s true because he saw great power, signs, wonders, and miracles. But, in Exodus 33:13, when in the presence of the Lord, he said, “I want your presence, more than just the acts.” We need both the power and the presence of the Lord. In Exodus 33:13, he said, “In your presence I can know you and your ways.” We see that Moses’ desire for the Glory is for a deeper relationship with the Lord. His heart cry is I want to Know You and Your ways, “Show me Your Glory.”
“Now therefore, I pray You, if I have found favor in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You [progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with You, perceiving and recognizing and understanding more strongly and clearly] and that I may find favor in Your sight. And [Lord, do] consider that this nation is Your people,”(Exodus 33:13, Amplified Bible).
The Great Awakening and some of the great revivals which followed it had such a level of the presence of God that the actual glory of God came; thousands of people simultaneously had an encounter with the majestic realm of God. That’s where they saw hundreds of people get born again in a moment, when the tangible presence of the glory of God comes.
We’re going to see these types of breakouts in the coming days; I believe this with all my heart. I believe we’re going to see double what we’ve seen to this point. I believe that the Lord is doing great and mighty things; we know scripture itself speaks to these things because in Isaiah 60:1-2 it says, “When darkness is covering across our land, the glory of the Lord shall be seen upon His people.” There will be tangible evidence of God’s glory in great ways in the coming days.
In Daniel 12:3, it says that in the latter days, “Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.” The righteousness of Christ is what Jesus Christ did for us at the cross, where the victory was won for us. The covenant is the result of the cross of Jesus Christ; the cross is where we can go for reconciliation. In this reconciliation between a person and God, true satisfaction takes place. Through the blood covenant, the person experiences change that affects their whole nature. This is true spiritual satisfaction, and this comes through the revelation that is personal experience in the victory of the cross. The revelation I’m describing is not merely in legal form, a doctrinal justification, but that in covenant victory of the cross, relationship between the person and God is established and sealed by the Holy Spirit, thus in turn allowing the person to experientially enjoy the fellowship of communion and growth in that relationship.
As the glory of God comes, there’s also power. In Acts 1:8 it says, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” He empowers us with His power to be a witness, the anointing of the Holy Spirit. When the glory comes, there is also the power of God.
When people encounter the power of God, they will be set free, they will be ministered to, and even their very emotions will be changed. As believers, we should have a perpetual hunger and desire to experience more of God’s glory.
2 Corinthians 3:18 says, “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” It says in Romans 12:2, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” We know that the word carries the glory of God and the power of God.
I want to encourage you that the Lord has so much more for you in your coming days, and I rejoice with you in all that you’ve seen. I rejoice with you in all that the Lord has done, but the Lord has more for you; He wants to turn up your expectancy in this season. He wants to turn up your expectancy that this will be one of the most powerful times of increase that will come from the glory and the power of the Lord in your life. This increase will come as a result of God’s Glory and God’s Power that you encounter fresh every day.
I encourage you to go into this season with a higher level of expectation than your previous season, even though we’ve seen great things and mighty things of the Lord; the Lord is going to strengthen you, anoint you, empower you, and favor you to see even greater increase in this new season of time.
There are things that He has purposed for you; there are things the Lord wants to strengthen you to believe for again. He wants to empower you to have the perseverance to stay the course to overtake and recover all that’s been lost. The Lord wants you to experience a greater depth of His glory, to encounter Him in His glory, and to see increase of His power and authority in your life.
You are entering a season of increase that comes from the glory and power of God. In His glory and power there is no limitation. Because of His unlimited supply, we can see limits lifted off. We can see great and mighty things take place because of the unlimited realm of God. Lift your vision higher. Set your expectation on the Lord.
